From Our Own
Correspondent
From Our Own Correspondent (FOOC) is a weekly BBC radio programme, featuring short talks by foreign correspondents, reflecting on current events and topical themes.
The focus is on wit, insight and analysis beyond pure news reporting. FOOC is presented by the legendary BBC News correspondent Kate Adie, and broadcast on BBC Radio 4 and BBC World Service, with a global weekly audience of over 300 million.
FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT
In my first report for FOOC, I followed the route of a World War Two British secret mission through the remote mountains of eastern Albania. My second was from the town of Novhorods’ke, on the front line of the Donbas conflict in Eastern Ukraine. My third report was from Russian-occupied Crimea.
I have since reported from the Japanese city of Kamaishi as it prepared for the Rugby World Cup; from New Zealand to report on the Whanganui River; and from Belarus about my run-in with the KGB.
